Join the Friends for a bike tour of the Trail's unique ecological habitats!
Our tour guide, James Duncan, of the Urban Forest and Tree Resources Division of Miami-Dade RER-DERM (That means he’s a tree expert) will take us on a tour of the varied habitats along the Commodore Trail. We’ll visit mangroves, hardwood hammock, and landscaped urban areas to learn about their ecological status today, their history, and what the future holds. The ride will go north along the Commodore Trail for about 2 miles concluding at The Underline/Vizcaya station overpass. Stops will include Vizcaya and Alice Wainwright Park.
Please wear bike helmets and bring H2O!
